Why "All About You" shoots are important to me and why I believe they should be important to you.

I am a single mother who is self-employed, time-poor, and has little time to focus on myself, my business and to remember to celebrate how lovely, fabulous, and brave I am!

Just after I had opened my first small store, and gallery, I booked a photographer as I needed some images of me.

This photographer sent me a confirmation email with a super quick questionnaire, an invoice for $899 and set a date. I realised that he/she had made no effort to find out who I was and would come and shoot me as he/she had shot hundreds of others. While their photos were fabulous and they were known Australia-wide, I knew that I was not comfortable with the fact that this photographer had made no effort to get to know me, as for me, the process should be as special and as unique as the end result. I cancelled this date and was charged $500 for this process.

It was an invaluable lesson.

A photoshoot, especially when dealing with the brave, the beautiful, the creative, and matters of your heart should be a journey, a celebration, and a joyful experience. It is something that requires time and care. I adore the self-employed, the creative, the entrepreneurs, and the brave. People who want to celebrate and document their story are my people and forever linked to my heart. I believe they need to be known and understood and their special moments need to be captured.
