Conversations with Oday

Words and image by Oday’s sister Ameera who is alone with her son Amir in Gaza.

Ameera and Amir managed to make it back to their home during the Ceasefire that was not a ceasefire. They returned to a shell of a home but Ameera was doing her best to rebuild. In the last 48 hours however, the bombs returned to Gaza and once again Ameera was told to evacuate.  There is nowhere safe for them to go.

Imagine if this was all you had left from a life.

Would you want people to see you, to hear you?

Or would you by happy if they just scrolled on by?

Oday is my friend, and his family needs our help as they are currently in the most desperate fight for survival.

At 22 years of age, my friend Oday shoulders the heavy responsibility of being the sole financial supporter of his beloved family in Gaza.

To help Oday and his family the best way is to donate directly to Oday’s GoFundMe Account which supports his whole family and is their only means of support:

Oday’s sister Ameera also has a fundraiser for her and Oday’s nephew Amir:

You can donate to me at the shop.
