Rissie had a friend over this afternoon so I managed to snaffle Arche for a couple of hours to help me continue with the painting. I am not in any hurry to get done so it is a matter of doing a little bit every so often. We managed to get another wall of the lounge room done today so I only have one wall and my bedroom to go. I am obsessed with the new feeling of space the clean white walls have given parts of my little cottage.
If you want to feel better, stop holding on to things that make you feel like shit.
A 360-days musing......
If you want to feel better, stop holding on to things that make you feel like shit, is the quote that I saw yesterday by @bemorewithless.
This is part two of my musings on this little quote as it has really struck a chord with me. I think it is because it is such a straightforward way of explaining the beautiful reality of minimalism.
So, what makes us feel like shit? Clothes that no longer fit. Books that were never enjoyed. DVDs that are never watched. Shoes that hurt our feet. Items we received as gifts that we never really wanted. Clutter means we can’t see what is important. Old grudges and past slights. Regret for things that we never got around to doing. Anger at those who have let us down.
This list is endless. There are so many things that make us feel like shit, so why do we hold on to them?
