George, a Water Warrior

In George’s words:

“I joined Metaqua on the recommendation of a friend after complaining of a bad back, and I could not be more grateful.

Amanda is absolutely wonderful at making something that could be quite confronting for a poor swimmer into an amazing experience.

The water has a very calming and therapeutic effect and becomes quite addictive, as does the group of MetAqua participants. Such fun, such joy and one of the greatest things I have ever done for myself (and my back pain is more manageable). Having moved to Stanthorpe relatively recently after retirement (I’m 66 now) I’ve found the freedom to forget self-consciousness and let the water make me feel beautiful and let my thoughts drift and lift me up.

Thank you, Amanda and my fellow water nymphs.”

The Water Warrior Project is a joint project of inspiration between Amanda, Metaqua Instructor from @swimminginthefield, and Lara Flanagan, Photographer from @mynotesfrom
