The Art for Oday Raffle is a fundraising raffle for our friend Oday Aburaida who at the age of 21 is the sole provider for his beloved family, currently battling for survival in Gaza.
There are only 200 tickets available in this raffle, ticket prices are $10 each.
Prizes are as follows:
1st prize, The Tree of Life by Jacqueline King, maker of dreams in glass.
The Tree of Life is crafted from hand-cut glass, and is in an antique frame.
Jacqueline felt this piece was perfect for this fundraiser as trees are not political and because so many trees have been destroyed in Palestine.

2nd prize, The Shelter of Trees by Heather Mercer, visual artists sharing beauty and inspiration.
The Shelter of Trees is a work in acrylic on canvas in a simple pine floating frame.
This scene is of an olive grove near Galilee. If this tree is still standing it would be a miracle. This work was inspired by Sara Haddad's work, The Sunbird.

3rd prize, Into the Mist by Lara Flanagan, photographer, poet & storyteller.
Into the Mist is an image on wood that was captured when Lara was looking for a message from heaven. She selected this piece because she believes that if heaven is real, it belongs to the Palestinians.

The Sunbird in a novella told in time shift, a modern parable, deliberately simple to combat the argument that the issue of Palestine is complicated, that tells the story of

Lara met @oday_aburaida through @projectlovebrocade, a worldwide initiative amplifying the voices of the people of Palestine. They were matched due to their mutual love of photography. Oday was studying photography and graphic design when the 6-day war started in 2022 and he had to abandon his studies to support his family.
