On a personal note, I have just finished My Place and it will sit with me for a very long time. I don’t understand why we are unable to acknowledge our dark history and what was done and continues to be done to the First Nations people of Australia. It is time to shut up and listen. Listen to stories like My Place and sit with them until we are moved to do better.
