Never again is now

Northern Gaza now has no cemeteries, hospitals, doctors, civil defense, or ambulances. The bombings, drone attacks and sniper attacks continue. Nobody knows how many people are trapped under the rubble as there is no longer anybody to rescue them.

Izzy is already planning to bulldoze the lot in readiness for new illegal settlements. They don’t care that the world is “expressing” grave concern. We will then welcome a new world order where law does not exist and where the powerful, the most heavily armed and the most depraved can take whatever it is they want.

I think at the time of writing this, there were 6 members of the Press still alive in the region, and Izzy had put a price on their heads. Hamas didn’t you know? Pretty soon they will be cutting open journalists to reveal extensive tunnel networks inside their bodies which is where Hamas was hiding all along. I know Izzy originally said they were under every hospital, mosque and church in Gaza, but they have all been destroyed and funnily enough not one of those locations revealed a network of tunnels where Hamas lived like rats.

God forbid the mainstream media actually did what they were meant to do and report the truth or protest at the mass-slaughter of their colleagues. God forbid.

“Never again” was a phrase that was born out of horror unimaginable. It was meant to remind us of the fact that silence or the act of not caring is a decision in itself. Silence never favours the oppressed, butchered, and brutalised. Silence, or turning a blind eye only ever supports the perpetrator.

When did we all lose our empathy? When did humanity become a choice?

Never again was meant to mean never again.

Never again is now

Never again

was meant to mean never again.

Never again for everybody.

it was not meant to depend on race,

skin colour, or ethnicity.

It was meant to be a promise to humanity.

Never again would the world allow such atrocities.

Never again.

Well never again is now,

and if not now, when?

Never again is now.
